Based in Wyoming, born in Virginia. I live on a small cattle ranch with my husband and daughter, and take film photographs of life on (and off) the high plains. Many of these photos can be found on this blog.
The first eighteen years of my life were mostly spent watching the X-Files and figure skating. Then I went to college at Harvard University, where I concentrated in English literature with additional studies in astrophysics. While an undergraduate, I worked as a research assistant for Professor John Stauffer (chair of the American Civilization department) and as a technology fellow at the law school. Following graduation, I lived in New York City and worked as a multimedia producer for The New Yorker and, later, as an editor for The Paris Review. I currently work as a video producer, story editor, and web developer.
I like: Cormac McCarthy novels, space exploration, Nebraska football, Greek food from Queens, running along the Charles River, conspiracy theories, Kierkegaard, early American history, and decorating too early for Christmas.
